Obit-Malone-PictureRaymond T. “Ray” Malone, 90, of Rudolph, Ohio, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2012 in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Ray was born in Toledo, Ohio to the late Walter and Lela (Dewyer) Malone. He married Alice (Bland) Malone on July 8, 1941 in Bowling Green, and she preceded him in death on July 12, 1997.
Ray served his country honorably in the United States Navy during WWII.
In 1955 he began working for Bowling Green State University and later became the Employee Relations Advisor at BGSU. Ray later retired from BGSU in 1984.
Ray was a life member of the VFW Post 1148 in Bowling Green, a member of the Bowling Green AMVETS Post 711, where he was honored as Veteran of the Year in 2011. Ray also was a member of the USS Alabama Crew Association.
Ray is survived by his three sons: Tom (Reba) Malone, of Bowling Green, OH; Danny Malone, of Bowling Green, OH; Michael (Jane) Malone, of Rudolph, OH; a daughter: Kaye Boucher, of Bowling Green, OH; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

mary-brigman-obitMary Brigman was born in Tiffin, Ohio on April 30, 1926. Her parents were Charles “Ted” and Fannie (Day) Cooley. Her three brothers, Charles, Donald and Raymond and two sisters, Alice and Beverly, preceded her in death. She retired from BGSU where she was affectionately known as Mrs. B. Mary passed away September 9, 2012.
She was well loved by family and friends. But her real love story began in 1946 when she met her future husband, Bill Brigman, who survives. Mary and Bill met when Bill was discharged from the Navy at the close of World War II. They married on August 18 and have been married for 66 years.
They were season ticket holders for BGSU hockey for many years, following the team to many venues outside of Bowling Green, including Alaska. They also enjoyed hot rod shows where they entered their 1932 Ford Sedan Delivery and 1947 Ford convertible. Mary was the proud owner of the Sedan Delivery and enjoyed the looks of surprise when people learned the truck belonged to her, rather than Bill. Bill and Mary enjoyed traveling to several car shows a year.

He was born on July 18, 1936 in Fostoria to Byron C. and Lillian M. (Cobb) Klotz. He married Sarah L. Ulmer on December 28, 1958 in Bucyrus, Ohio.
Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years, Sarah; mother, Lillian of Fostoria; son, Robert A. Klotz of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Tamara K. “Tami” (Tony) Hoffman of Mt. Victory, Ohio; brothers, Carl (Marilyn) Klotz of Fostoria, Twin Richard (Carol) Klotz of Lakeland, Florida, Donald (Pat) Klotz of Findlay, Stanley (Sharon) Klotz of Woodruff, SC, Douglas (Kim) Klotz of Fostoria; sisters, Joyce Risch of Fremont, Judy Walby of Fremont; grandchildren, Ashley (Kyle) Lamson of Walbash, Indiana, Ryan Davis of Groveport, Ohio, Jennifer Davis of Grove City, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Austin, Chase and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Byron; son, Dennis L. Klotz; brother, David Klotz; brother-in-law, Delbert Risch.

He was born February 14, 1920 on a farm north of Bascom, Ohio, the eldest son of Jason and Chloe (Haugh) Border. He was a Toledo resident for 46 years.
A 1937 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School, Clayton earned his accounting degree from Tiffin University in 1939. He began his business career in Columbus, as an accountant for the State of Ohio. A year later he accepted an accounting position with the Army Air Corps at Wright Field (now Wright-Patterson Air Force Base) in Dayton. Later, he transferred to the Army’s Erie Proving Ground near Port Clinton.
Clayton married Thelma Johnston on January 4, 1942. He joined the US Army in November 1942 at Camp Perry, Ohio. Clayton served as a Staff Sergeant with the 195th General Hospital in France during World War II.

On May 30, 1923 she was born to Charles “Dutch” and Hazel (Thornton) Snyder, in Stony Ridge, OH. She married Wilfred “Bill” Heermeier on January 13, 1945 in Ft. McClellan, Alabama and he survives.
Norma was a cosmetologist in Pemberville from 1942-1948 and was also a homemaker. Norma was never without a relative, neighbor, friend or loyal customer who needed her talents.
Her memberships included St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, New Rochester, OH, its Women’s Group and Pemberville American Legion Auxiliary Freedom Post #183.
She loved music, gardening, baking and her family and friends enjoyed her amazing variety of Christmas cookies and Swedish tea logs.

Garner, Emily Garner and Jessica Toll. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, brothers Denis and Allen Garner, sisters Verna Messersmith, Peggy Snyder and Lottie Cordes.
Donald was affiliated with Alcoholics Anonymous in the early 1980′s. He became involved with Alcoholics for Christ and co-facilitated a radio program of the same name. He and his wife were the co-directors of the Findlay City Mission from 1988 to 1994. He and his wife currently Pastor a small church in Cygnet, Ohio.

Frieda Luella Cooper, Napoleon (formerly of Holgate), Ohio passed away at Country View Haven, Napoleon, Wednesday, August 12, 2012. She was born June 2, 1924 in Gallup in Henry County, to the late George and Blanch (Searfoss) Thomas. She married Donald “Jake” Cooper in 1943 in Pennsylvania who preceded her in death in 2001.
Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Russ, Walter, and Ernest Thomas and six sisters, Lily Thomas, Mary Radabaugh, Betty Foster, Thelma Hunsacker and Velma Richenbach.
After a 31-year career as a homemaker and mother of five, she started a new career by going to work at the Murphy Store in Napoleon. She also worked at the Hunts Company in Leipsic, OH and retired from Tem-Cole Radish Plant in McClure, Oh. Family members referred to her as the “Radish Queen” because of the many awards and bonuses she had received while working there.

Calvin D. Ribble, 82, of Portage, died Friday, September 14, 2012.
He was born July 24, 1930 in Toledo to Frank and Frances (Leininger) Ribble. He married Doral Youngs on December 17, 1950 and she survives.
Mr. Ribble was a self-employed truck driver and also was a former Wood County Deputy Sheriff for nine years. He was an avid coin collector and owned and enjoyed antique automobiles.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Also surviving are daughters, Linda Ribble of Portage and Kathy Bomer of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Dan Fulweber, Craig Bomer, Ben Fulweber, Gavin and Mollie Bomer; one brother, Tom Patton of Troy, Mi.; sisters, Doris Roudebush of Trenton, Fl., Rose Botorff of Iron River, Mi. and Nancy Felix of Metamora, Oh. Four great-grandchildren also survive.

Two brothers, Guy Jr. and Carol (Bill) Flowers, two sisters, Mrs. Betty Jean (Lowell) Wilkins, Joann (William) Galliher, and her first husband, Robert “Bob” Hofner, preceded her in death.
Judy was married to Terry Wires for the past 29 years, and he survives along with her sister, Mrs. Marilyn Aurand, of Wayne, OH.
In addition, surviving are three daughters, Kim (Steve) Leady Sr., of Burns, TN; Diana Thayer of Dickson, RN; Patty (Brian) Young, of Dickson, TN; one son, Steven Scott (Amy) Hofner, of Murfreesboro, TN; also 12 grandchildren, Steve (Sherry) Leady Jr., Tim (Janice) Leady, Brian Young II, Clifford Trice, Kody Thayer, Shane Young, Megan Thayer, Patrick Hofner, Kerrie Young, Jamie Leady; and three great-grandchildren, Joyce Leady, Lucas Leady and Alex Maulden.

She was born on April 24, 1922 to Freda (Sandrock) and Dewey Schneider in Hessville, Ohio. They preceded her in death. She married Carl Albert on December 24, 1938. He preceded her in death in September 1966. She then later married Carl E. Christiansen in September 1973. He preceded her in death in April 1981.
Alberta was loved by everyone she met. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing bingo and her dogs.
She is survived by her children, Judith (Darrell Querin of Boiling Springs SC, Sharon (Robert) West of Oak Harbor, Diana Albert of Perrysburg, Carl Albert of Toledo and Pamela (Richard) Atchinson of Rudolph, 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and brother Forrest Benner Jr. of Mansfield.

Robert “Bob” Daniel Seeburger, Sr., age 61, died unexpectedly on September 16, 2012.
He was born July 26, 1951 to Lawrence and Regina Seeburger in Toledo, Ohio.
Bob attended Rogers High School and served four years in the U.S. Air Force.
Bob worked for his brother as a fabricator at USC Metal Fab. He was also the “Plant Manager” at his family’s business, Seeburger Greenhouse.
Bob loved photography, wildlife, hunting and fishing. His favorite thing in life was riding his Harley motorcycle. He never missed his annual birthday trip riding to Deadwood , South Dakota.
Bob was a true giver, doing anything that someone asked of him.
