David passed peacefully with family by his side at Bridge Home Health and Hospice, Bowling Green, Ohio, on September 19, 2012.
David Lamb was born In Weston, West Virginia, to Bernard and Bertha L. (McCaully) Lamb. He graduated from Eastwood High School in 1966.
He retired from Jeep in Toledo, Ohio, July 2003. He was a member of NRA and UAW local 12.
He married Charlotte K. Kruse in Dowling, Ohio, September 24, 1966. She survives along with two sons. Jerry L. of Rudolph, Ohio, and John L. of Bowling Green, Ohio, two grandsons, Dale L. of Rudolph and David L., Rudolph; two granddaughters, Danielle L., Bowling Green, and Kaytlynn N. of Michigan; brother, Dennis (Karol), Bowling Green; sister Sharon G. (Gary) Leveck of North Baltimore.

John was born in Perrysburg on November 11, 1927 to William C. and Matilda “Lucy” (Kiefer) Ault.
John was a farmer for 38 years and drove school bus for Rossford Schools.
John served his country, the region, Wood County and Perrysburg Township throughout his entire life. John was a WWII Army Veteran and a charter member of the Perrysburg Township Fire Department and Perrysburg Chamber of Commerce.
John was a Perrysburg Township Trustee for 10 years; a Wood County Commissioner for 15 years; served on the Board of Directors for TMACOG; an active participant in the American Legion Buckeye Boys State program; served on the Board of Trustees of Owens Community College for 22 years, Wood County Regional Water and Sewer District, Banc Ohio and Citizens Bank. John was also a Director of Perrysburg Grain and Supply for 15 years.
John was awarded the Spirit of Wood County Award for outstanding service in self government. He was also a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 2322, Wood County Farm Bureau and Lucky Legion 240. John was also an active member of St. Rose Catholic Church, where he served as an usher for many years.

Ruth-Byerly-obitRuth Avanelle Byerly, 74, formerly of Fostoria, and a resident of The Heritage in Findlay, died Saturday (Sept. 22, 2012) evening at the Heritage.
She was born Feb. 5, 1938 in New Boston, Ohio, to Russell and Ruby (Crawford) Plummer. She married Karl Wendell Byerly on April 19, 1952 in Greenup, KY., and he died on June 20, 1991
Surviving are a son, Karl “Ed” (Alice) Byerly of North Baltimore; five daughters, Linda (Sam) Roeber of Rawson; Karen Gibbs of Peachland, NC; Kathy (Robert) Smith of Fostoria; Kristy (Jeff ) Heldman of Mt. Cory; and Tammy (Tim) Dean of Risingsun; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; five stepgrandchildren; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Fred Plummer and a sister, Jewel Calhoun.

Ruth L. Thompson, 79, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
Ruth was born April 22, 1933 in Perrysburg, Ohio to Eric H. “Sam” and Myra (Wieland) Adams. Ruth married Richard J. Thompson on August 14, 1954 and he preceded her in death on October 12, 1972.
Ruth was an LPN for various Cleveland and Perrysburg Hospitals. She was a private nurse and caregiver for the elderly around the Perrysburg area.
She was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church, loved crocheting, skeet shooting, playing cards and spending time with her dogs.
Ruth is survived by her sister, Kathryn (John) Piatt, brother, James (Barbara) Adams and sister-in-law, Gloria Adams.
Along with her husband, Richard, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Roland, Samuel and Tom Adams, sisters, Wilma (Richard) Stemen and Janet Adams.

Sonja E. Whitesell (nee Wulff), 64, of North Ridgeville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday September 22, 2012 at the Ames Family Hospice in Westlake, Ohio.
She was born September 29, 1947 in Napoleon, raised in McClure, and graduated from Damascus Local School in 1965. Sonja graduated from Bowling Green State University with a B.S. degree in education in 1968.
She moved to Elyria, Ohio in 1968 and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1973.
Sonja was employed by North Ridgeville City Schools and taught fourth grade at Wilcox Elementary School for 30 years. She retired in 1998.
She was an avid reader and she loved to crochet and collect DVDs of old television programs. She also collected music from her childhood for which she could thank her Grandmother Wulff. Sonja was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan and after she retired she only wore Cleveland Indians themed clothing.

Luis was born in San Antonio, Texas, to the late Jesus and Maria (Moya) Sifuentes Sr. He married Lydia (Martinez) Sifuentes on December 10, 1985 in San Antonio, Texas and she survives in Milton Center, Ohio.
Luis was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He was a loving husband, father and uncle.
He was a cook at the former Chi Chi’s Restaurant and most recently he worked at Doc’s Bar & Restaurant in Tontogany.
Luis enjoyed taking rides on his motorcycle and fishing off various coasts. He enjoyed having barbecues and parties for his family and friends in his backyard.
Along with his wife Lydia, Luis is survived by his son: Alexander Sifuentes of Milton Center, Ohio; sister Maria Hernandez of San Antonio, Texas; brother: Miguel Sifuentes and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was born in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Howard and Mariann (Meyers) Seem. She married Dan Smith in 1969 in Bradner, Ohio and he survives in Bowling Green.
Also surviving Karen is her mother Mariann of Fostoria, daughter: Angie Elder of Luckey; three brothers: Bob Seem of Portage, Terry Seem of Risingsun and Paul Seem of Wayne.
Karen enjoyed fishing and being by the water. She was a graduate of Lakota High School.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St., P.O Box 648, Bowling Green, where her Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. A funeral luncheon will follow at the Bradner American Legion, 209 West Crocker Street, Bradner, OH 43406.

He was born on January 8, 1938 to William and Hallie (Engle) Stout in Clarksburg, WV. In Angola, IN, he married Carol Bruning on July 19, 1957 and she survives.
Richard was a conductor for 27 years for Conrail Railroad, Walbridge, OH.
He was a member of the Genoa Masonic Lodge #433 and in his spare time enjoyed fishing and NASCAR racing with Dale Earnhardt Sr. being his favorite driver.
Richard is survived by his wife of 55 years: Carol, children: Ronnell (John) Zeisler of Millbury, OH; Jacque (Jesse) Haas of Luckey, OH; Debbie (Mike) Dunn of Northwood, OH; Greg (Beth) Stout of Woodville, OH; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; sister: Genelea Traver of Elwood, PA; and brother: Ronald (Suzanne) Stout of Jasper, MI.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Carl-Satter-obit-picCarl Albert Sautter was just 37 years old when he passed away suddenly during the early morning hours of Saturday, September 29, 2012.
A man of amazing spirit, he was charismatic, intellectual and eloquent. He projected an animated, vibrant appreciation of humanity. Simultaneously tender and protective of those he loved, Carl lived to be of service to others and made a strong impact on everyone he met.
Carl was born May 4, 1975 in North Atlanta to Albert H. and Ellen E. Sautter. He graduated from St. Andrews Sewanee School in Tennessee and attended Georgia State University, where he studied literature and psychology.
He had a career in sales specializing in industrial and technical products. Like his father Carl was a natural athlete, and he was especially gifted at playing and coaching soccer. He devoured a wide array of literature and was a devoted lover of all types of music, especially jazz.

He was born in Perrysburg on, August 12, 1917, to George F. and Mary E. (Davis) Kurfis.
Phil was a Perrysburg Township farmer and was a lifelong member of Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg. He also was a member of the Wood County Farm Bureau and the NRA.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Frederick G. and Richard H. Kurfis, and sister, Mary Margaret Kurfis.

Rich W. Froehlich, age 63, of Luckey, OH, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in Akron City Hospital, Akron, OH unexpectedly due to injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident.
He was born on July 16, 1949 in Tiffin, OH, to William and Bertha (Schafer) Froehlich.
For 34 years he was a mechanic for Matlack Trucking Company, also a substitute bus driver for Eastwood Local School District and a maintenance man for the Village of Luckey.
His memberships includes: AHRMA, AMA District 14, Trials Inc., co-founder of the Knights of Tiffin Motorcycle Club #2945, and the Edward Grine American Legion Post #354, New Riegel, OH.
Rich served his country proudly in the United States Air Force while stationed in Korea and was honorable discharged in 1973.

Goodwin-Bob-obitOn Tuesday, October 9, 2012, Dr. Robert P. “Bob” Goodwin passed away surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born in New York City on January 18, 1925 to Peter and Helen Goodwin and had two brothers, Frank and Dick Goodwin. He enjoyed 87 amazing years and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Bob married Elaine Fitzpatrick in 1952, and recently enjoyed their 60th wedding anniversary. His wife survives of Bowling Green.
Bob attended Fordham University in New York City and received his doctorate in Philosophy from Georgetown University.
In 1958, he began his teaching career at DePaul University in Chicago. In 1961, Bob and Elaine and their growing family moved to Bowling Green where he taught Philosophy for 30 years at Bowling Green State University. During his time at BGSU, he served as chair of the Philosophy Department, was the co-founder and visionary of the Cluster College (which was a model for today’s Learning Communities), translated articles for the Philosopher’s Index, and received numerous awards and recognitions.

Toby David Deal, age 64, of Pandora, Ohio, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 8, 2012 surrounded by his loving family in the Emergency Room at Blanchard Valley Hospital.
Toby was born on February 22, 1948 in McComb, Ohio to the late Clarence and Eva Mae (Martin) Deal. He married Patricia Wright on February 23, 2001 and she survives.
Other survivors include his children, Mike (Kimberlee) Deal, Forest, OH; Kris Smith, Findlay; Manuel (Ashley) Bartsch, Findlay; Patrick Deal, Florida; and Rosemary Deal, Germany; step-children, Rachel Friesel, Pandora; Ruth (Alan) Humphries, South Carolina; Jessica (Brad) Schwab, Findlay; and Jennifer (Tim) Egbert, Alvada; 24 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother and best friend, Chuck Deal; brothers, Larry (Carol) Deal, Dwight Deal and Bob Deal; and sisters, Bonnie (Mike) Van Wormer, Dianna (Ron) Collins, Judy (Steve) Henning; and Kathy (Albert) Farabough; and his pet bird, Kilo.

Kenneth R. Pheils, age 60, of Swanton, died unexpectedly at Flower Hospital early Thursday morning, October 11, 2012.
He was the eldest of 11 children born to Kenneth Eugene and Ethel Rose (Benner) Pheils on July 8, 1952 and on September 19, 1971 he married Marilyn J. Twining.
Ken was employed at Hatfield Oldsmobile in Maumee for 25 years before becoming the Spencer Township Zoning Inspector from 1999 to 2010.
In his younger days he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also an avid collector of antique tractors and farm machinery. He belonged to the Power of Yesteryear Club in Wood County, The Pharaoh’s Car Club in Swanton, and was a proud Lifetime Member of the NRA.
