Floreine Vollmar went to meet her heavenly Father on December 26, 2012 at the Napoleon Lutheran Home in Napoleon, Ohio.
She was born October 9, 1921 to Bert Allen and Nellie (Shinew) Amos. On January 22, 1941 she married Kenneth Allen Vollmar in Paulding, Ohio.
Mrs. Vollmar was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bowling Green.
Floreine is survived by her daughter, Audrey (Gary) Gilliland of Malinta, OH.; her grandchildren Sheila (Pat) Parcher and Gary (Chip) (Kim) Gilliland; and her great-grandchildren, Morgan and Collin Parcher, and Ryan and Michael Gilliland.

Colleen J.  (Lowrie) Cousino, age 56, formerly of Pemberville, Ohio most recently of Littleton, Colorado passed away on October 8, 2012.  She was born on November 28, 1955 to Richard and T. Joan Lowrie.  She was a wonderful mother who loved her sons more than life itself.  Colleen was devoted to her family and religion. Colleen moved from Ohio to Colorado in 1995 to pursue a career with AT&T, Western Wireless.  In 1997 she was a general contractor for General Dynamics Telecommunications for various telecom companies including Verizon, Sprint and Cricket.  From 2006 through October 2012, she was a general contractor for Excel Energy.

Neil Allen Tuttle, 73, of Grand Rapids, OH passed away Christmas morning unexpectedly while on a cruise vacation.  Neil was born in Indianapolis, IN to the late Dorothy Allen.
Surviving is his loving wife and best friend: Sheila. Besides his wife, Neil is also survived by his daughter: Holly (Tony) Hernandez; son: Brad (Cari) Tuttle; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grand children.

CONTINENTAL – Mary M. Motycka, 89, of Continental, died at 3:17 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Twin Rivers Care and Rehabilitation Center, Defiance. She was born March 6, 1923 in Paulding to the late Alois and Mary (Kominek) Dvorak. On February 2, 1946, she married Joseph Motycka. He died August 11, 2007.  
Surviving are three children: Janet (Ken) Niese of Continental, Linda (Dwight) Niese of Lancaster, PA, and Eugene “Gene” (Nancy) Motycka of Lima; six grandchildren: Andrew (Glenna) Niese, Julie (Rick) Hostettler, Vanessa (Junius) Frederick, Damon (Traci) Niese, Joseph Motycka and David Motycka; six great-grandchildren: Christian Niese, Owen Niese, Cassie Hostettler, Zander Hostettler, Hayden Frederick and Saxon Niese.
She was preceded in death also by a brother: Alois Dvorak.

She was born on January 8, 1921 in Lake Township to Samuel Allen and Eva (Taylor) Shiffert.
Bernice married Clarence Edwin Brinker on March 2, 1946 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dowling, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on August 31, 2002.
She graduated from Webster High School and Davis Business College with an Associate’s Degree.
Prior to having a family she worked at the former Libbey Owens Ford Company in the accounting department.
Her memberships included Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dowling, OH, where she was very active in the Ladies Aid, Martha Circle and served as chairman of many banquets, luncheons and other events. She was also a member of the Homemaker’s Farm Bureau Council.

Ted-Groman-obitTheodore Robert “Ted” Groman was finally able to shake off the bounds of this flesh and will forevermore be clothed in the glory of His Savior. Ted passed into eternal glory at 1:10 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Birchaven Village with his loving family at his side.
Born March 8,1918, to Tebalt “Ted” and Edith (Marsteller) Groman, owners of Groman’s Grocery in Tiffin, Ted was the oldest of four children. His sisters were: Edith Florene Staib (Carl), Mary Ellen Weiker (Richard), and Dorothy Jean Kolar (James). On August 6, 1941 he married the love of his life, Eleanor Katherine Hankammer of Bellevue, who preceded him in death on February 13, 2008.
He is survived by their daughter, Constance Groman Kolan Reeder (Lowell) and sons, Christian (Carol) and Stephen (Dee), all of Findlay, plus five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Ted received his BA in Music at Heidelberg College in 1939 and his MA at Boston University in 1948. He taught music in public schools in the Lisbon, Ohio area and Bowling Green and Wood County schools and Bowling Green State University.

Anna Rose Davies, 93, of Colorado Springs, Colo., passed away on Dec. 31, 2012 at Pikes Peak Rehabilitation Center, Colorado Springs.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.
Anna Rose Ohler was born on Dec. 29, 1919, in Prairie Depot, Ohio, currently Wayne, the daughter Rolla John and Mabel Karns Ohler. On Nov. 19, 1942, she married Paul Leonard Davies, in Risingsun, Ohio. He preceded her in death in 1982.
Mrs. Davies worked at Westinghouse in Ohio and then as a seamstress at McCabe’s Department Store in Rock Island, Ill.
She is survived by a daughter, Paula (Gene) Bain, of Pagosa Springs, and a son, Victor (Linda) Davies of Colorado Springs; a granddaughter, Tracy (J.D.) Sedlock, of Sparta, Wis.; a sister, Mary Swain, of Muscatine, Iowa; and a brother, Glen (Pat) Ohler, of Wayne.

David was born on April 12, 1959 in Lakeland, Florida to Alton and Darlene (Jeanette) Nighswander.
Upon graduating from St. Francis Catholic High School in Tiffin, he went on to obtain an Associate’s Degree in electric engineering from the Terra Community College in Fremont. He worked as an electrical engineer supervisor for Durr Ecoclean, Inc. in Bowling Green. He was employed there for over 28 years, until the onset of his illness.
David loved talking politics and enjoyed fishing, golfing with his Dad and brother, trap shooting and NASCAR. He is remembered as a “grill master and smoker,” using just the right amount of spice.

She was born August 20, 1951, in Bluffton, Ohio to the late Wayne and Mary Lou Hosafros.
After graduation in 1969 from Rossford High School in Rossford, Ohio, she attended Defiance College.
Mary was a Navy veteran serving as a Flight Services Specialist. She retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller from the Miami, FL Center.
Mary enjoyed life to the fullest and loved her family, friends and her three little chihuahuas.
Mother of Dana of British Columbia. Loving Sister of Hugh (Joan) Hosafros of Dollar Bay, Michigan, and Sister-in-Law Mary Gauer (Michael) Hosafros of Akron, Ohio. Loved Stepdaughter of James F (Mary Lou) Walton of Ocala, Florida.

He began working for Rightmyer and Johnson, before becoming employed with JDRM Engineering as a project manager, retiring in 2010.
George was a member of ASHRAE- American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, Air-Conditioning Engineers.
He was an avid golfer and a member of the USGA. In his spare time you could always find him golfing, and volunteering at local golf events. He also enjoyed traveling.

WINCHESTER, KENTUCKY: Former Paulding, Ohio resident Rebecca Colleen Carr, age 87, died Thursday, January 3.
She was born in Paulding County, Ohio, the daughter of Benjamin Britton and Dorothy (Geyer) Moore. On January 29, 1953 she married Leland M. Carr, who preceded her in death.
She attended Mt. Union College and Bowling Green State University.
She was formerly employed as an office worker at Grizzly Manufacturing Plant and was a clerk for the Paulding Utilities Office and the Paulding County Treasurer’s Office.
She was a lifelong member and longtime organist of First Christian Church of Paulding.
She is survived by two children: Mary Sue (Terry) Dohoney, Bowling Green, OH, and David M. (Leigh) Carr, Lexington, KY; five grandchildren: Courtney, Tyler and Quinn Dohoney and Mary Clare and Britton Carr; a brother, John H. “Jack” (Marie) Moore, Paulding; a sister, Marilyn Buehler, Tuscaloosa, AL; and many nieces and nephews.

Keith was born in Kenton, OH to the late Keith and Frances Treen.
Surviving Keith are his daughter: Tammy (Jeff) Taylor of Grand Rapids, OH; son: Jeremy (Nicole) Treen of Grand Rapids, OH; grandchildren: Ashlynn, Brennyn and Keaton; sister: Dianna (Richard) Badik of Perrysburg , OH; brother: Charles (Ellen) Treen of Grand Rapids, OH; former wife and friend: Cindy Grey.
Keith graduated from Otsego High School in 1970. He was a store clerk at Marathon Station in Grand Rapids.
Keith loved gambling trips, fishing, hunting, and NASCAR races. Keith didn’t know a stranger. He enjoyed his job at the station with all the customers. Keith was a lifelong resident of Grand Rapids and he will be missed by all.

wilbur-graber-obitWilbur Clark Graber, 89, formerly of Bradner and Bowling Green, Ohio passed away peacefully at Otterbein-Portage Valley Retirement Village in Pemberville on Friday (January 4, 2013) with his loving family by his side.
He was born October 24, 1923 in Fostoria, Ohio to the late George and Bertha (Hartley) Graber. He married Jean Louise Frybarger on June 21, 1952 in Bradner .
He graduated from Bradner High School in 1941 and worked at the public library in Toledo after graduation before serving in the Army during World War II. Much of his time was spent overseas in the European Theatre.
After returning from service, Wilbur worked for Honeywell (the former Autolite plant) in Fostoria for 34 years. He was an inspector and for many of those years he served as Financial Secretary for the UAW local #533 and President for a short time.

She was born on July 30, 1917 to the late Arnal F. (died 1976) and Lulu Mae (Burns) Canterbury (died 1929) in Bowling Green, OH. Jean married Leo J. Nusbaum on June 3, 1951 and he preceded her in death in 1986.
Jean attended Bowling Green High School, Bowling Green Normal College and graduated with her Master’s degree from the University of Toledo. She began her teaching career in 1937 in Bradner, OH. She taught at the elementary level in the Lemoyne, Wynn, Shoreland and Hopewell schools during her 37 year career.
She was an avid reader and gardener and enjoyed playing euchre and bunco.
She was a member of Portage Christ United Methodist Church as well as the Portage American Legion Auxiliary.
Jean is survived by three brothers: Harold Canterbury of Adams, MN; James (Carol) Canterbury and Richard (Linda) Canterbury of Portage, two sisters: Eileen (James) Avery of BG, and Helen (Gerald) Bowen of Portage, and numerous nieces and nephews.
