Delia Marie Crozier Bentley, better known as Deedie, the youngest of three children born to Walter and Meme (Showman) Crozier of Liberty Center, died peacefully at the Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green on New Year’s Eve day with family by her side.
Deedie spent all her life devoted to family and the love of music. She worked as a line-type for many different newspapers in Ohio including papers in Whitehouse, Hamilton, Middletown and Cincinnati, retiring in 1977.
Her passion was playing the piano and organ and did so for many years professionally in a band called the Sunshine Five with immediate and extended family members, although her fondest memories were when the family got together for jam sessions. She often recalled all the dances, mostly square dances, they played in Delta, Swanton, Whitehouse, and Grand Rapids and oh the stories she told!
