William F. “Bill” Snook, 91, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at Wood County Hospital.
He was a resident at Heritage Corners Care Center since 2011.
He was born December 23, 1922, in Williamsport, PA, to William H. and Lucy (Frick) Snook. He married Marguerite Ruth Harris on January 4, 1946, who preceded him in death on January 5, 2006.
He is survived by his brother, Howard Snook, Circleville, Ohio, son Jeffrey (Lee Anne) Snook, Bowling Green, Ohio, and daughter Kathy (Loyd) Thogmartin, Wolf Creek, Oregon.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Vivian Snook Reed and Ella Snook.
Bill graduated from Williamsport High School in 1941. While in high school, he started working part-time at a gas station near his home. He eventually saved enough to buy his first car, a Model A Ford, for $ 20 in 1939. That car started his love affair with automobiles. He owned and restored hundreds of vehicles over the years. This culminated with his current collection of over 25 cars displayed at Snook’s Dream Cars Automobile Museum in Bowling Green, OH.
